Courgette or gourd, as it was originally called comes from Central America. Today it is cultivated in Europe and in many varieties of different sizes, shapes and colours.
Courgette is a low-calorie food; it is an ideal vegetable for weight loss and detoxification of the body. It contains many minerals that help the body to rid of excess water and salt.
Courgette is a plant demanding to heat and humidity. Because it has a massive root system, it requires no special fertilization. Most work when it comes to growing is harvesting. Smaller courgettes are tastier and tenderer, we harvest them every 2-3 days to prevent their overgrowth. Small courgettes are easily to damage, so they must be harvested manually.
We have courgettes for you in deep or bright green colours, bright yellow, striped, longitudinal, and circular. We offer them from early summer until the first autumn frosts.

Peel and grate 2-3 courgettes. Also grate 5 sausages and 200-400 grams of hard cheese. Add 5 eggs, salt, and pepper, thicken with breadcrumbs, and possibly season it with ground paprika. Bake in a baking dish, previously greased by a bit of fat. Bake for 30-40 min at the temperature of 180 degrees until a golden crust is formed.
